On Wednesday, April 17, 2019, the Social Security Investment Fund signed an agreement for the construction of solar power plants with the Coalition of Ahmad Badawiah Contracting Company and Philadelphia Solar Company.

”The project is part of the Fund’s sustainable development initiatives with an estimated value of 26 million JOD and will be implemented in several stages with a capacity of 20 MW” said HE Mrs. Khuloud Al Saqqaf, Head of the Social Security Investment Fund.

HE Mrs. Khuloud also pointed out that the implementation of this project will be through the establishment of four stations in different regions, the first phase begins with the establishment of two stations with a capacity of 5 MW each through a Wheeling system, which will save the institution of about 5.3 million JOD annually.

Eng. Badawiah said: “The first phase of the project will be implemented in Al Aghwar and Zarqa within six months from the date of signing the contract, to provide the institution with electricity from solar energy with a capacity of 10 MW”.
