Al-Zaytoonah University is one of the first universities in Jordan to embrace clean energy generation. Its PV system generates 1.77 MWp, which is about 95% of the university’s daily consumption of electricity. As part of the development phase, Philadelphia Solar worked with the university on a solar PV research and helped the university plan for its transition to a carbon-free campus.

The project also includes the first Jordanian solar park that consists of different components; a solar tree where the leaves are PV panels (M36s-100Wp), hybrid system (PV/wind) and solar umbrellas fitted with electricity outlets for students. Overall, 70% of all material and equipment used in this project has been proudly made by Philadelphia Solar.
