Aside from solar energy, we love food!!

While we are here at Intersolar NA 2024 sparking conversations about cutting-edge technology and sustainable energy solutions, there’s another topic that captivates our hearts and palates—food!

At Philadelphia Solar, we believe in embracing not just innovation in solar energy but also celebrating the rich tapestry of culinary experiences. As a gesture of our appreciation to our customers and participants at the event, we’re excited to share the aromatic essence of Kabseh spices.

Originating from the heart of Middle Eastern cuisine, Kabseh is a flavorful and tantalizing dish that incorporates a beautiful blend of spices. To infuse your culinary journey with these delightful flavors, here are a couple of recipes you can try at home:

Kabseh Rice Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Basmati rice
  • 500g lamb or chicken, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 2 tablespoons Kabseh spice blend
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped cilantro and toasted almonds for garnish

Instructions:

Heat olive oil in a large pot and sauté onions until translucent. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.

Add meat and brown on all sides. Stir in tomatoes and Kabseh spice blend.

Pour in the broth and bring to a boil. Add rice and reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer until rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed (about 20-25 minutes).

Fluff the rice gently with a fork and serve hot, garnished with chopped cilantro and toasted almonds.
